what’s new pussycat?

hits of the swingin’ 60s

What’s New Pussycat is a joyous, foot stamping, hand clapping celebration of the swinging sixties.

Vocal pyrotechnics! Breath-taking harmonies! Off the wall humour!

The hits of Tom Jones, Burt Bacharach, The Mamas and The Papas, Petula Clark, Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Carole King and The Fab Four performed by Australia’s favourite cabaret duo.

It was the era of protest, civil unrest and undergarments being thrown inappropriately onto stage. Melissa Langton & Mark Jones by no means discourage these acts during their show!

Melissa and Mark have been one of Australia’s most popular cabaret acts for more than 15years. With 12 Green Room Awards between them, they have been blazing a cabaret trail around Australia and all across the world!

Melissa Langton & Mark Jones have been one of Australia’s most popular cabaret acts for over 20 years. In 2001 they won the Sydney Cabaret Convention, and in 2002 won Melbourne’s prestigious Green Room Award for Best Cabaret Artist and together Mark and Melissa won Best Cabaret Duo and since then have been blazing a cabaret trail all across world! They performed to great acclaim in Dublin, Berlin, Vienna and wowed Manhattan on the opening night of the 2002 New York Cabaret Convention! They have an incredible 12 Green Room Awards between the two of them (OK, 10 of them are for Mark!)

At home they have performed to sellout crowds at Melbourne’s Chapel off Chapel, the Adelaide, Melbourne & Perth Cabaret Festival, and the Sydney Cabaret Convention. The regularly perform at corporate functions and theatres around Australia.

Their show is a night of sassy and powerful cabaret.  The song list wide and varied and shows off their flair for recreating the 60’s and 70’s.  But their forte lies in their comedy numbers and in their soul drenched vocal fireworks.  In the words of The Melbourne Age, they are an “irresistible double act”!
