Melissa Langton, music theatre favourite and star of the internationally renowned girl-group THE FABULOUS SINGLETTES, brings us the incredible songs and the fascinating story of one of Britain’s most cherished entertainers – Petula Clark.

In the swinging 60s Petula repeatedly topped the charts in every corner of the globe with hits like Colour My World, I Know a Place, My Love, Happy Heart, Don’t Sleep in the Subway, Happy Together, I Don’t Know How to Love Him and Downtown.

She is the most commercially successful female singer in British chart history!

COLOUR MY WORLD celebrates Petula’s pop hits but also features highlights from her acclaimed performances in stage musicals such as THE SOUND OF MUSIC and her starring roles in movies such as GOODBYE MR CHIPS and FINIAN’S RAINBOW.

Petula Clark made her singing debut on radio at age 9 and her most recent recording was in 2012 at the age of 82! That’s more than 70 years in show business and she’s still going strong! A career worth celebrating!

Melissa has performed in almost every venue in Victoria and all across Australia over the last 20 years, with her cabaret shows; What’s New Pussycat, Still Living in the 70’s, Get Back – The Lennon & McCartney Songbook, Swinging on Broadway and more! She has also played in Dublin, New York, The Aukland Festival, The Adelaide Cabaret Festival, The Sydney Cabaret Convention, The Melbourne Festival and The Perth Fringe Festival.

Melissa is a member of the popular girl group THE FABULOUS SINGLETTES and has performed with the group regularly since 1998 throughout Australia, Asia and Europe.

Melissa received GREEN ROOM AWARDS for Best Cabaret Artist and Best Cabaret Ensemble (with Mark Jones) and was the winner of The 2001 Sydney Cabaret Convention. She has also received numerous Green Room Award nominations for her roles in music theatre, opera and cabaret. Her solo album, WHEN THE RAIN FALLS UP, was released in 2002. She released a duo album with husband & Musical Director Mark Jones, WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW in 2019.
