swinging on broadway
The Sound of Music swings at last! There’s a bossa nova in Brigadoon, a mambo in Mamma Mia and Hello Dolly will definitely be heavy on the hi-hat!
Swinging on Broadway takes us back to an era when the likes of Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, Tony Bennett, Julie London and Ol’ Blue Eyes regularly topped the charts with Broadway toe-tappers like Hello Dolly, Mack the Knife, Cabaret, I Get a Kick out of You, Almost Like Being in Love and Big Spender!
Melissa Langton will be swinging down Broadway with a mix of classic show tunes and some playful reinterpretations of more recent Broadway favourites!
Songs include – All that Jazz, My Favourite Things, Wouldn’t It Be Loverley, Can’t Help Loving That Man, Always True to You in My Fashion, I Love a Piano, Surrey With A Fringe On Top, Don’t Rain on My Parade & You’ll Never Walk Alone.
But a South Pacific samba? Really?
When you’re Swinging on Broadway – Anything Goes!
